Painting Tijuana is a project to photograph murals and other artistic interventions in Tijuana, Mexico, and make them available to the public through this website and interactive virtual map to locate the murals and display photographs of each mural.
This map uses virtual pins as well as an image scroll bar to find murals throughout the city. When a viewer clicks on a pin or a scroll bar image, a link appears that navigates to a gallery of photographs and information about the selected mural.
We hope this effort helps the public to better appreciate the diverse expressions found not just in Tijuana, but everywhere in the world. And, in doing so, allow us to appreciate what we have in common and not our differences.
